Visit to Ellora Caves

Mar Theodosius was received at the Aurangabad airport by the Vicar Rev. Tony Varghese and the Vicar of Nasik Mar Thoma Parish Rev. Biju C.  P.

 

The Episcopal Visit of Mar Theodosius to Aurangabad included a sightseeing to Ellora and  Bibi-Ka-Maqbara. The caves of Ellora are about 28 kilo Meters from the town of Aurangabad. The caves there are the products of three religious systems: Buddhism, Brahmanism and Jainism.

Escavasions on a shopping hill side spreads over a distance of Caves 1 to 34. They represents the various Memorial caring and sculptures of the three great faiths.
