Staten Island MTC

In the spirit of giving during 2011 Christmas season and the exhortation in the scripture Isaiah 58:7, “Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless…” Youth Fellowship members of the Staten Island MTC volunteered and were involved with the activities of Project Help.

Youth Fellowship members helped to serve in the food pantry and assist with cleaning, stocking, and loading the distribution van for the pantry and the center. The Staten Island Mar Thoma Church is one of the few churches situated within in the limits of the New York City. Youths who participated in the event were exposed to the grim realities that many of the homeless, poor, and needy people face in their everyday life. Mr. Anish Chacko and Rev. Biju P Simon
