Seattle Mar Thoma Church

The Mar Thoma Church of Greater Seattle has celebrated 25 years of Church Life from 1986-2011. It has a place of worship of its own and a full time clergy to minister. We are thankful to Lord Almighty for His abundant blessings upon us during the past 25 years. The celebration of the Silver Jubilee was inaugurated by The Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan on 24th July 2010.

There was an year long Jubilee celebration. Rev. Binu Varghese is the Vicar. The Silver Jubilee closing celebration was conducted on Saturday June 25th, 2011. The Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev.Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa was the chief guest during the closing program.

The Silver Jubilee Souvenir was released by our beloved Theodosius thirumeni to Mrs.Aleyamma Mathew member of Seattle Parish. We raised over $10,000 to support the Mar Thoma Mission center at Mlamala in Idukki, Kerala.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa conducted Holy Communion Service assisted by Rev. Binu Varghese and Rev. Roy A. Thomas. All parishioners and their friends from near and far attended the service.

Reshma Ampalloor was the first Communicant on that Sunday June 26th, 2011. The members of the Parish committee co-ordinated all the programmes of the valedictory function.

The diocesan Episcopa was on a tour to some of the parishes and congregations in the western region. There was luncheon fellowship on Sunday After the service.
