Puthen Qurbana of Rev. Christopher Phil Daniel, Dallas
The Puthen Qurbana of Rev. Christopher Phil Daniel was celebrated on July 29, 2012, in English at the MTC Dallas, Farmers Branch in the presence of Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa, Rev. Jose C. Joseph Mathew (Vicar, MTC Dallas, FB), and Rev. P. V. Thomas (retired clergy).
The newly approved shortened English liturgy was used for the Holy Communion Service. About 1000 people attended the service and about 600 people participated in the Holy Communion service served by Rev. Christopher Phil Daniel and Rev. P. V. Thomas and also by Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa and Rev. Jose C. Joseph Mathew.
During the Holy Communion, the sermon was delivered by Thirumeni who spoke from St. John 12:20-28. Thirumeni expounded upon three theological aspects of the passage which included the theology of glorification, the theology of death, and the theology of ministry. Thirumeni emphasized that the ministry of the church is based on the model of Jesus Christ and not on any other model that can be found in this world. The Vicar and parish members wish and pray that God may continue to keep Chris Achen in his providence in the ministry.
