Phoenix Episcopal Visit

Phoenix Mar Thoma Congregation was blessed by the Episcopal Visit of our Respected Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius. Thirumeni visited Phoenix on 3rd and 4th of December 2011. On Sunday morning the teenagers and youth of the Congregation had a wonderful time in hearing Thirumeni and discussing with him about the Sacraments of the Church.

On Sunday evening Thirumeni celebrated Holy Communion in the Encanto Community church and 5 of our children received First communion. About 150 persons attended the Service and around 100 received Holy Communion.

After the Service Thirumeni was given warm welcome as the Sunday School Children presented bouquet and sang melodious songs. There was a time for the general body meeting of the Congregation.

Thirumeni exhorted the Congregation to take steps to be elevated into the status of a Parish as it has more than 30 families and 120 members. We are very grateful to Thirumeni for his kind visit and guidance.
