Metropolitan Visit to Philadelphia MTC

The Philadelphia Mar Thoma Church was blessed with the presence of our Metropolitan Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan Thirumeni on Palm Sunday, 01 April. Thirumeni led Palm Sunday service and celebrated Holy Communion. Metropolitan’s secretary Rev. Abraham C. Pulinthitta was with Thirumeni in the service. Thirumeni gave a thought provoking sermon.

After the Holy Communion service, a public meeting was held to felicitate Thirumeni, as he has visited the Parish for the first time after installation as Metropolitan. Secretary Mr. Thomas Joy welcomed Thirumeni. Vicar Rev. P A Abraham and Vice President Mr. Jacob Eapen expressed felicitations. Trustee Mr. Varghese Abraham handed over a memento to Thirumeni on behalf of the parish to commemorate the Metropolitans visit to the parish. The Metropolitan shared his experiences and vision about the church. The meeting ended with Kaimuthu.

A good number of parishioners participated in the service. After the meeting a luncheon fellowship was arranged. The parish expressed sincere thanks to Metropolitan for the visit.
