Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa, Diocesan Bishop visited Mar Thoma Church of Dallas, Carrollton at 1400 West Frankford Rd Carrollton, TX- 75007 on November 18 -20, 2011.

The Diocesan Bishop was received at the Airport by the Vicar, Rev.K.P.Thomas and office bearers of MTCD, Carrollton. Thirumeni’s stay was arranged at the parsonage located at 3404 Ashleaf Dr, Carrollton TX- 75007. On the evening of His arrival on Nov 18th, Thirumeni attended the Regional counseling workshop held at Sehion Mar Thoma Church.

His presence blessed the workshop sessions. The continuation of the Friday evening sessions was extended on Saturday November 19th at Farmers Branch Mar Thoma Church. Counselimg workshop “Cracking the code: Live the life you Deserve” organized for Young Family and youth fellowship members was blessed with the presence of Thirumeni.
In the evening November 19th Marthoma Church of Dallas, Carrollton organized a special meeting with the Youth fellowship members. All of our Youth members had wonderful interactive conversation with Thirumeni during this session. Thirumeni had keen interest to understand their view points. After the youth meeting, He lead evening worship service (Sandhya Namaskaram) followed by a devotional message.

On Nov. 20th, Thirumeni conducted the Holy Communion Service in English. During the service, eleven of our youth members received their First Holy Communion. Meditational message for the Sunday was delivered by Thirumeni referring to the family of Zachariah and Elizabeth. He reflected that Family is smallest unit of society and a place where members live together in harmony, in relationship with others, where love and unity is maintained in fellowship with God. He also spoke about the relevance of the Mission and Misnistry of the Church and exhorted parish members to be responsible for the blessing received from God. Family members were inspired and motivated by His message. After the service, the first communicants were given certificates by Thirumeni and He also congratulated the parents for preparing their children for first communion.

After Holy Communion Service, on behalf of MarThoma church of Dallas, Carrollton, Mr. Renji George gave thankful felicitations for Thirumeni’s service, visit and support for our church. It was followed by a photo session with Thirumeni, First Communicants and families. This was followed by luncheon fellowship for all chuch members, organized by parents of first communicants.

Following the lunch, Thirumeni attended the Executive Committee Meeting and He answered the concerns of the members for the new church in the Dallas area and also talked about various programs organized by the diocese. His interaction with the executive committee members was motivational and inspiring for the participants. The next day,Thirumeni left from Dallas to return back to New York.
Marthoma Church of Dallas, Carrollton is greatful for Tirumeni’s visit and assures prayers and support for the ministry of the Diocese of North America and Europe.
