Inauguration of YMCA, Nerul, Mumbai

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, the Diocesan Bishop of the Mumbai Diocese of the Mar Church addressed the gathering during the inauguration of the YMCA in Nerul, Mumbai on October 26, 2016.

YMCA, the worldwide organization has about 1200 branches. Nerul YMCA is in the western region. The emblem of the YMCA indicates that it stands for the integrated personality of each person, covering body, mind and spirit. YMCA serves to build up human community. It gives awareness programmes for eradication of social evils. It brings people ecumenically and trains young people to fulfill their vocation. The Most Rev. Thomas Mar Alexandrios, Rev. Biju from Catholic Church, Rev. Gigi Thomas from the Mar Thoma Church and Dr. James Thomas, chairperson of the health wing of the National YMCA are seen in the photograph.
