The Episcopal Visit to the Tarapur Mar Thoma Church, Boisar, Maharashtra was on Sunday, January 22, 2017. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, Diocesan Episcopa, accompanied by the Diocesan Treasurer, Mr. P. K. Achenkunju reached from Afghanistan Church, Colaba by about 3.30 pm. 
The place of worship is at the Government property for the Tarapur nuclear project, used by several Christian organizations. The members of the parish reached the Venue sufficiently early to honour the first visit of the present Diocesan Bishop and to welcome him. 
The members lined up and received the Guests in a welcome ceremony by giving bouquet and singing a welcome Song in Syriac and Malayalam.
The Holy Qurbana started at 5.15 pm and was well attended. The first Communicant Mr. Allen Alex was blessed through a Dedication service. Mar Theodosius spoke on the importance of Church Unity. After the worship, the Diocesan bishop exhorted the members to own the Diocesan projects and to participate actively. He thanked the members for their active participation in the Diocesan convention and in the felicitation program to the Valiya Metropolitan, Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom, held on the 14th and 15th of January at New Bombay.The office bearers of the local Orthodox Church and the Malayali Samajam made use of the occasion to welcome Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius to Tarapur. There was Kaimuthu service and fellowship dinner. The guests returned by about 8.30pm.
