Episcopal Visit to the Mar Thoma Congregation, Modassa

Modassa Mar Thoma Congregation is a small worshiping community consisting of 8 Mar Thoma Families. They have built a place of worship in a land that is owned by the Church. It is about 2 hours driving distance from Ahmedabad and at present Rev. Raju Ancherry is the Vicar for them.

The Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, went to Modassa with Rev. Raju Ancherry on the evening of October 7th and stayed with a family. The Holy Communion service was conducted on Saturday morning, Oct 8th, at 7.30 am. Rev. D. Sunil and Rev. Santhosh K. C. joined the service. All the members came and participated in the service. Mar Theodosius spoke on the significance of living a model life by Imitating Christ as St. Paul did (1 Cor 11:1). After the kaimuthu service, there was a fellowship hour.

The Episcopal Visit was a time of rejoicing for the members of the Mar Thoma Congregation in Modassa. It was a blessed occasion for everyone.
