Episcopal Visit to the Gandhi Nagar MTC, Ahmedabad

The Episcopal visit to Gandhi Nagar , Ahmedabad was scheduled for Friday , October 7, 2016. The Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius arrived from Vashi, New Bombay by the morning flight to Ahmedabad.  The Vicar Rev K. C. Santhosh along with the Office bearers of the parish welcomed Mar Theodosius at the airport on his arrival.

 

There was a welcome fellowship meal for everyone present and all took time to introduce each other.  The parish has a place of worship of their own. But the day’s Holy Qurbana service was organized in a bigger place of the CNI. There was a baptism in the evening followed by the Holy Qurbana service. There were 7 First communicants and their dedication service was held after the sermon. 

Mar Theodosius spoke on the significance of Christians being significant and distinct in doing good for the well-being of every one. More than 100 members participated in the Holy Communion. There was a Kaimuthu service after the announcements. A fellowship meal was served for all.

The Episcopal visit was a blessing. Mar Theodosius was assisted by Rev. Raju Ancherry, Rev D. Sunil and Rev K. C. Santhosh (the Vicar).  There were some friends of the parishioners and dignitaries of the City attending the service.
