Episcopal Visit to Lonavala

The Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, visited Mar Thoma Congregation, Lonavala on Sunday afternoon, October 16, 2016. Mar Theodosius came from Pune around 5 pm and the Holy Qurbana was conducted in one of the Homes of the members.

There are only 8 families .There is no parishes nearby. They have to travel more than 30 km to get to a nearby place. Rev P. T. Jacob and family came there early from Kalewadi and made all the arrangements for the worship service. The Holy Qurbana was conducted there and all came from their places to par ticipate in the worship service. Mar Theodosius spoke about the need to ‘abide with Jesus’. Time was given for interaction. There was dinner arranged and therefore after dinner, all went back to their places. Mar Theodosius returned to the Mar Thoma Centre, Vashi by 8p.m.
