Episcopal Visit to Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church, Dehu Road

Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church came in to being when about 50 families from St. John’s Mar Thoma Church, Kirkee decided to form a worshipping community in and around their neighbourhood in Dehu Road. Gradually they constructed a place of worship of their own and started supporting a vicar and his family. The episcopal visit for the year took place on Sunday July 17, 2016.

Rev. David V. Titus and Rev. A. B. Binu assisted the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius. There were 3 first communicants who were blessed and initiated to receive the Holy Communion on that day. Mar Theodosius spoke on the Bible portion 2 Corinthians 2:15 on the topic “We are to God the aroma of Christ”. The service was well attended and a good number participated in the Holy Qurbana. Afterwards, there was a meeting to welcome the new Diocesan Bishop where the vicar, Rev. David V. Titus presided. The Secretary of the parish felicitated and welcomed the Bishop.
