Episcopal Visit to Bethel MTC, Malad West

The Diocesan Episcopa, Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, visited Bethel Mar Thoma Church, Malad West on Sunday December 04, 2016.  He reached the Church early, conducted the Thooyaba service, and started the Holy Communion worship at 8am. Rev. Sabu Koshy assisted Tirumani in the service along with the lay leaders. The Thanksgiving prayer was conducted after the Nicene Creed.

Mar Theodosius spoke on the significance of Naming the child, John (the Baptist), in the midst of the faith community. After the sermon, the first communicants were blessed and the certificates with the Bibles were given.  A good number of parishioners participated in the Holy Communion along with the First Communicants.

After the worship service and announcements, a General meeting was conducted where the Vicar welcomed the new Diocesan Episcopa . Mar Theodosius responded to it and expressed the joy of visiting the place and Congregation for the first time. He also spoke about the mission and ministry of the Diocese. Every one present participated in the fellowship meal, after the Kaimuthu service. That gave an occasion for the members to interact with the Diocesan Episcopa.

Mar Theodosius took rest in the parsonage and left Malad after a cup of Tea at 3 P.M.  The Episcopal visit was a blessing.
