Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa visited the congregation at Silvassa on 05th March, 2017 and celebrated Holy Qurbana at 08.30 am. The congregation arranged the Qurbana at St. George English medium school Silvassa. Along with the Holy Qurbana 4 of our Children namely, Eva Elizabeth Rakesh, Melvin George, Shibin Shaji and Rithin Biju received their first Holy Communion and became part of the body of Christ.
During the Communion, Thirumeni preached from Mark 1: 40- 45. Through the sermon Thirumeni urged the Congregation to live a holy life during the lent days and the lent should be the days of forming ourselves spiritually. Thirumeni exhorted the members to give respect and value to others.After the Holy Qurbana the congregation celebrated their anniversary. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa presided over the meeting. The meeting started with prayer by Mr. Jose Nellimala followed by the traditional welcome song in Syriac by the Choir. After the song, the Vicar Rev. Jobi Koruthu welcomed Thirumeni and others. In His main Speech, Thirumeni told the congregation to be united in Christ and to grow day by day. He expressed his desire to see a beautiful church in Silvassa in the near future. Thirumeni also acknowledged the active participation of congregation in the diocesan activities.Rev. Johnson. On this occasion Thirumeni and Vicar jointly cut the cake tin connection with the celebration. The meeting concluded with the closing prayer by Mr. V. Mathew (STEMS governing board member) and benediction by Thirumeni, followed by fellowship lunch.
