EPISCOPAL VISIT AT ST.PETER’S MAR THOMA SYRIAN CHURCH, GORGAON WEST, MUMBAI

It was a happy occasion for Goregaon St. Peter’s Mar Thoma Parish when our Diocesan Episcopa Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa visited us on Sunday 4th December 2016, where the entire parish members together accorded a warm welcome.

First Episcopal visit to St. Peter’s MTC started with a meeting of the parish executive committee. After the formal introduction, Thirumeni enquired about our outreach programmes. Thirumeni was very much pleased to know about our mission field activities and Prem Nagar socio- religious activities of Balwadi and tailoring classes.

However, Thirumeni was very keen on building up a close relationship with our mission field believers and in giving them a feeling that they are wanted amongst us. Thirumeni suggested that we call all our believers to our parish on a Sunday and celebrate a Holy Communion service in Marathi, their own language and have a fellowship lunch with them. Thirumeni also wanted us to visit them and celebrate Holy Qurbana at their place at a convenient time when Thirumeni can join us. After prayer and benediction, the meeting with the Parish Executive Committee ended at 04:35 P.M.
