Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church, New York

The Diocesan Bishop visited Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church, NY on May 29, 2011. The Holy Qurbana service in Malayalam was conducted at 12. 15 noon.

There were five first communicants including one attending special school. The dedication service was conducted after the Nicene Creed. The week being a long weekend of the Memorial Day in US, the sermon was based on St. John 11 on the theme “Tears and not enough”. Tirumeni spoke on the meaning of death and resurrection and the need to look up to God in faith to see the glory of God. The service was attended by members of Ebenezer Church along with guests from neighbouring parishes.

Revds. K. J. Mathew, K. E. Geevarghese, Jose Abraham and Biju P. Simon attended the service.Rev. Benjamin George, the Vicar introduced the guests and expressed gratitude to all present in the Service for their prayerful support. After the service there was a luncheon fellowship. The Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church is on the lookout for a place of their own for regular worship.
