Baltimore MTC

The Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius visited the Baltimore Mar Thoma Church on 26th of November 2011. Thrumeni’s visit was really a blessing for our church as it brought many members together and we had relished in his spiritual thoughts and sound advice on all matters relating to our church. Thirumeni had a very fruitful discussion in a planned meeting with the executive committee members and answered all their queries relating to the church administration.

His grace conducted the baptism service of two kids Manu and Eva in the evening. Following the event he initiated a meeting with the choir members of our church in which Thirumeni explained the importance of introducing English liturgical hymns in the service to make it more meaningful and interesting for the younger generation. The last event of the night was a prayer meeting in which Thirumeni gave an excellent exposition of the scripture to the congregation.
After dinner Thirumeni held a special session with the candidates who were going to receive the first communion the next day and blessed them after explaining to them the entire process of the first communion service.

On Sunday the Diocesan Episcopa led the Communion service. Thirumeni led the first communion service for six children. They were gifted the first communion certificates and gift cards prepared from the Diocesan office along with a Bible. He also delivered the message on that day. About hundred and fifty members and non-members participated in the service. Thirumeni also addressed the congregation after the communion service in which he exhorted the members to help the church in its financial commitments.

After sharing the Lunch along with the parishioners Thirumeni went to Virginia Immanuel MTC.
We as a church express our sincere thanks to Thirumeni for his visit and leadership for various events. We were blessed by his presence and look forward for Thirumeni’s oncoming visits.
