St. Thomas, Calgary

His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa, Diocesan Bishop visited St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Calgary, Alberta from May 16th-19th, 2012 as part of his Episcopal visit.

Tirumeni spent Thursday on visiting and meeting people. On May 18th Friday, Thirumeni spent most of his time at the parsonage with our vicar Rev. Biju. K. George and in the evening Thirumeni spent time with all the committee members and examined the reports and also gave advices on various church activities. Thirumeni took one session with our first communicants in the evening.

On May 19th Saturday, Thirumeni conducted the Holy Communion Service in English. The parish choir assisted with hymns and chants. During the service 14 of our youth members received First Holy Communion from Thirumeni. After the service, the first communicants were given certificates and a Bible.

The service ended with Kaimuthu from Thirumeni and lunch feast to all the people who are attended the service which was hosted by the Parents of the first communicants.

Thirumeni left to Edmonton on May 19th Saturday afternoon.
