NE Region YF Host 2011 Fall One Day Conf.

Youth Fellowship of the North East Region conducted 2011 Fall One-Day Conference
New York: Fall One Day Conference of the North East Region Youth Fellowship was conducted on November 27, 2011. The theme for this conference was “Know thy self” with the supporting verse taken from Luke 2: 52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

Dr. Anil Chacko, the main speaker for the conference reminded the youths that knowing thyself means knowing our identity which leads us to our creator God. Knowing ourselves also leads us to be better missionaries for Christ in this world. This gathering spiritually rejuvenated the participants and provided an opportunity to re-dedicate their lives to witness Christ better in this world. Dr. Anil Chacko is presently working as the assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY and Queens College, NY.

Rev. Oommen V. Varkey, Vicar of Epiphany Mar Thoma Church led the Bible Study. Salem MTC at Eastern Long Island helped the conference with Registration, Long Island MTC with Praise and Worship, Epiphany MTC with Food and Venue, Bethany MTC with worship order and St. Johns MTC with booklets. On behalf of the regional committee, Mr. LijuKoshy, treasurer welcomed everyone and Mr. Prathik Philip from Boston MTC offered vote of thanks.
