Episcopal visit to Bethel Mar Thoma Church, Baroda.

The Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa made his episcopal visit on September 28&29,2019. On 28th, he was received at the airport by the vicar and office bearers of Bethel Mar Thoma Church. Thirumeni took time to visit Rev. Anil Abraham and his family at the parsonage in Fatehgunj of MTC, Baroda. Then with ANIL Abraham Achen, he visited the new Church, under construction at Gorwa. Some members of the parish were also there and Thirumeni prayed at the site. He motivated the
parishioners to complete the construction as early as possible. Later, Thirumeni visited some members of Bethel Mar Thoma Church.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Thirumeni led the Holy Qurbana service at 8.00 am and spoke on the topic of the sacrament of anointing the sick. After the sermon, 13 children were blessed during their dedication service to receive the Holy Communion for the first time on that day. The Holy Qurbana was attended by Rev. David V. Titus ( Vicar), Rev. Anil Abraham ( Vicar of MTC, Baroda) and a large number of members from both the parishes. There was a meeting followed by the Holy Qurbana service where Thirumeni expressed his joy in being in the Parish and sought the prayers and co-operation of the people for the various projects run by the Mumbai Diocese. He particularly spoke about the NavJeevan Centre and the NavJeevan Day celebration organised on October 2. After the Kaimuthu service, there was a photo session for the first communicants, their friends and relatives and the parish members.

The Diocesan Episcopa took time to visit the newly constructed rooms of the St. Thomas School run by the Bethel Mar Thoma Church.After his prayer for the School and later at the parsonage where he had lunch, he left for the airport to go back to Mumbai. It was a time of joy and fellowship for the Parish when the Diocesan Episcopa visited them and the members assured prayers and support to the Episcopal ministry of Mar Theodosius Thirumeni.
