Episcopal Visit to Dadar Mar Thoma Church
The Episcopal visit of Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, to the Dadar Mar Thoma Church, Mumbai, was held on Sunday 25th February 2018. His Lordship arrived at 10 a. m. at the Holy Redeemer Church, Dadar along with Bishop’s Secretary Rev. Joel Samuel Thomas and the Diocesan treasurer Mr. P. K. Achen Kunju. The office bearers, Vicar and Rev. Sajeev Varghese Koshy, secretary to the Metropolitan received Thirumeni at the entrance and the Parish Trustee offered bouquet to Thirumeni. The parishioners along with the Sunday School children and choir gave a warm welcome procession singing the song “Senayin Yahovaye…”.
Holy Qurbana began by 10.20 a m and concluded by 12.40 pm. After the birthday and wedding anniversary prayer, Thirumeni delivered the word of God from Luke 5: 26. Thirumeni explained the meaning and emphasized the need of Mission through the Church. The primary function of the faith community is to go out and transform the world.
After the Holy Qurbana, there was a meeting where the celebrated the birthday of the Diocesan Thirumeni, and also had a cake cutting ceremony where Thirumeni along with Rev. Samuel Maske, the vicar of CNI church cut the cake together which was a very special moment. The Sunday school kids and youths presented a few songs for thirumeni.
Later the mission proposal for Mukhada mission field was released by Thirumeni.
After the ceremony, there was a photo session where all the church members came together which was followed by a fellowship lunch.
The Dadar Mar Thoma Church witnessed a very blessed day with Thirumeni. We expresse our love and humble gratitude to Thirumeni.
