Visit to the Immanuel MTC, Vishrantawadi

The Diocesan Episcopa Dr Geevarghese Mar Theodosius visited Immanuel Mar Thoma Parish , Vishrantawadi on Sunday November 12, 2017 after the inauguration of the Teenagers Conference at Mar Chrysostom Camp Centre, Lonawallah. The service started at 9.00am and Mar Theodosius celebrated the Holy Qurbana with the assistance of the Vicar Rev. Saji Thomas and lay leaders of the Parish. A good number of the parishioners came for the worship service. The parish choir assisted the Parish in singing chosen and relevant songs during the service.

Mar Theodosius spoke on the Gospel portion of St. Luke 10:1-9.  He spoke on the meaning of being the Church, the significance of her renewal and the need to grow in ecumenical relationship.  About 200 people participated in the Holy Qurbana.

 

Rev Saji Thomas welcomed the Bishop and commented on the ministry of the Diocese. The Diocesan Episcopa thanked the Parish for their prayers and support given to the Diocese from time to time and urged everyone to participate in the DDF and suviseshanidhi collections of the Diocese. He spoke also on the various Mission and ministry of Mumbai Diocese and showed a video clip indicating the significance of Church’s Ministry to the Transgenders.

 

The service concluded with Kaimuthu service followed by a FELLOWSHIP meal. After lunch, Mar Theodosius visited a young person who is regaining health after a serious road accident in Pune.
