Visit in Rome

Tuesday, August 29 was set apart to visit St Paul’s Cathedral and.  It carries the sculpture of the apostles and the paintings of all the Popes. The tomb of St Paul, the chain and the Jubilee Door are the main attractions.

Rome

From there we went to the Catacombs where the early Christians are buried. Burial on the ground was not allowed by the Roman Government and therefore cells underneath the earth were formed and the dead bodies were buried. Acres of land are used for this purpose. There are sections where bodies were buried by wealthy families and ordinary people. Some Bishops and ministers are also buried there.

After seeing the catacombs, we went to see some other places of interest
