Ground Breaking Ceremony at the St. Thomas School, Kamseth

The Diocese of Mumbai decided to separate the St. Thomas School, Kamseth from the facilities of Mar Chrisostom Camp Centre by 2018. To make it possible, the Diocesan Council studied the matter and decided to have additional space for 10 Class Rooms with ancillary set up along with adequate space for Residential Quarters of the Director of the Centre, dormitory facilities for the students who undergo training in the campus and additional space for services and passages. The Earth Breaking ceremony took place on the evening of Thursday May 04, 2017 where the Architect, Builders, clergy and representatives of the Diocese and members of the parishes from Bombay and Pune Centres were present. The ceremony took place at 5 pm by having a small worship service and the Diocesan Episcopa breaking the ground. Sweets were distributed to add joy and significance to the event.

The total built in area would be 9, 516. 24 Square feet. The camp centre would get about 2070 sq ft to add facilities to the present structure. (21. 75% ) . It is the desire of the Diocese that the construction can be done with in an year. The St. Thomas School is hoping to use the facilities by the new academic year in 2018. We pray for the guidance of God and expect the generous contributions from the members of the Church to accomplish this within the stipulated time.
