The MTVEA of Kalyan Centre is supporting a Mission Field of the Mumbai Diocese at a place called Kasara. It is a mountainous region and tribal groups are staying here. It all started when a man called Mr. Sankar received Jesus Christ as the Lord of his life in the area called Gopalpada. He opened his home for all Gospel work and to this day that home is open for all the visitors to gather together and even to stay for a day or two. The Gospel is now preached to, 12 nearby villages and the witnessed the baptism of 56 people. Mr. Pramod is the Evangelist and 20 families regularly gather together for worship. Rev. K. C. Chacko is the missionary here. Mr Blessen with his wife Anita ministers here as the coordinator in this Thana Region. Rev Daniel Mathew from Dombivli and some members from Kaly an Centre arrived here in the morning to attend the function. Mr P K Achenkunju , the Diocesan Treasurer and Mr Thomas Samuel, the Mission Board Secretary attend the function. The community sang the songs, participated in the worship and listened to the Word of God. The Diocesan Bishop , Mar Theodosius spoke to the gathered Assembly and encouraged them. After prayer and benediction, the people came forward for receiving the Kaimuthu Blessing.
Mr. Sankar offered a portion of his land for constructing a place of worship. The members of the Kalyan Centre are asked to find out the possibility of constructing a building in a Tribal belt area.
