Episcopal visit to Colaba Salem Mar Thoma Church

The Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, visited the Colaba Salem Mar Thoma Church on Sunday, January 22, 2017. The service was conducted at the CNI Church, popularly known as the Afghan Church, at 10 am. It was attended by the members staying in and around that area and the students or staff at the Naval Hospital there. Mar Theodosius spoke from St. John 17 and highlighted the significance of the prayer of Jesus on Unity.Rev. Mathews George is the Vicar of that parish and he visits them along with his responsibilities as the Youth Chaplain of the Diocese. About 50 people participated in the Holy Qurbana on that Sunday. The Diocesan Bishop thanked the members for their participation in the Diocesan Convention that was held the previous week (mid – January) and exhorted them to own all the activities of the diocese. They are planning to visit Nav Jeevan within a month’s time.There was Kaimuthu service and fellowship meal. The Office bearers of the parish thanked Mar Theodosius for visiting them. The Episcopal visit was a blessing to all.
