Leadership Conference

The Diocesan Sevika Sanghom organized a one -day leadership Conference at the Mar Thoma church, Chembur on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The meeting of all the office bearers of the Sanghom began with an opening worship by the leaders of the Mumbai Centre. The Diocesan Bishop and some of the achens also gave leadership. The vice President Rev. P. T. Jacob said the words of welcome to all present.

 

The Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius inaugurated the conference and highlighted the significance of Christiana Mandate. This was followed by singing led by the Rev.  Minoy Kuruvila, the Vicar of the Chembur Mar Thoma Parish. Rev. D. Sunil Vicar of Ahemedbad Mar Thoma Parish gave the Key note address based on Exodus 2. He spoke about the need for women empowerment that the Church and Sevika Sanghom should impart and the leadership roles the women should assume at Home, Church and Society. After the intercessory prayer, Rev. Sajeev Thomas, the Vicar of Goregoan Mar Thoma Parish, spoke on the interpretation methods the Sevika Sanghom leaders should know when they study the Holy Bible. It is more effective when the study is done collectively or in small groups.

 

The meeting concluded after discussion, concluding prayer and benediction by about 1.30 noon. The members participated in the fellowship meal and found time to meet each other. There was a meeting of the committee members after the lunch.
