Episcopal visit to Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church, Ahmedabad

The Episcopal visit to Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church was on Sunday, October 09, 2016. The Diocesan Bishop Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius came to the parish on Saturday night from Himmat Nagar and stayed in the house of a member. Rev. Raju Ancherry, the vicar came with the Bishop.

 

The service on Sunday morning of October 9th was at 9 am. He was welcomed by the Sunday School Children who were in the church for their Sunday School classes. During the service Mar Theodosius spoke from St. Mark 3:1-6 based on the topic, ‘care for the people of different skills’. It was also a family Sunday. Families sat together and came together to participate in the Holy Qurbana. About 150 members took communion. There was a welcome meeting for Mar Theodosius, who visited the Parish for the first time. Mar Theodosius responded by speaking to the members. The service concluded with Kaimuthu service and fellowship meal. It was a very blessed occasion for all the members in the parish.
