Smart Hostel, Vapi

Smart Hostel for Boys is situated in the green campus of St. Thomas English Medium School, Vapi, Gujarat. It accommodates 14 tribal boys who hail from nearby villages of Ahwa and Pippalpada tribal hamlet of Gujarat. Right now, this is run at the Vapi Mission Centre.

The selection procedure to this hostel is conducted through an interview / written test by the Administrator / Principal of STEMS Vapi. The selected students will be given CBSE education in the school and their accommodation, food and fees will be taken care by the Diocese. The aim of this noble endeavor is to give them best educational families and train them for Civil Service Examinations. The vision of the diocese is in such a way that after 20 years they should be placed as responsible bureaucrats with Christian values and ethics.

Mr. Suresh P. Moriya and Sneha Suresh Moriya are the house parents of the children. They are from Jamaliya Village (Now we are distributing water in this village).  Mr. Suresh have completed basic theological course with Operation Mobilization (OM). He speaks English very well. He is also working as Physical Education Teacher in STEMS Vapi. Sneha is looking after the kitchen. In the room besides the hostel Mr. Rajesh and Surutha Rajesh are staying. Rajesh works as our School bus driver and Surutha as cleaning staff of school. They are from Pippalpada village. Mr. Shankar Mouriya from Pippalpada also stays in our campus as care taker. He works as Peon in STEMS Vapi. They together take care of our agricultural works.

Sr. Thresiakutty (Principal of STEMS Vapi ) and Sr. Jancy (Nursery teacher) take care of the academic and oversees the development of the students.
